1980's Vintage Books on Tape New In Box!

About a month ago, my husband and I who are big time hobby enthusiasts (obviously..hehe), went to a couple antique stores about an hour away from where we live.  I found the ultimate item- it was a 1980's pack of books on tape.  It came with two cassettes with a story on each side plus 4 books.  It was called the, "4 story gift pack."  I remember getting something like this when I was little, I believe it was from my amazing grandparents and I just loved it!  I also remember checking other books on tape at our local library where I grew up.  So it was so incredible that I found this mint and new in the box for under twenty dollars!  I finally got up the nerve to open it but took a bunch of photos of them in the box and also when I took them out for the first time.

I looked around on Google and found several of these same Disney combo packs.  They were from 1984/1985 and called, "4 story fantasy gift pack."  I found only a few of them that are still new in the box and all had since sold.  I found the one I bought as well which had sold and I wasn't able to find a price.  But no matter what, I think it was so cool getting one brand new, never opened.  That is any hobby/nostalgia enthusiasts dream!

My Fairy Tale Books Part 2

I recently bought a handful of fairy tale books including a few Golden Books.  It's really great to start getting some of these books that I used to have as a child, back into my collection- and also to buy some that I always wanted, but never bought~

This past Wednesday, when I was "picking" at Goodwill for Roo's Hobbies, I found a couple fairytale books.  Of course they are "Sleeping Beauty" because that's my favorite!  Pics coming soon!


I found the treasure of all treasures last Friday- a pack of books on tape mint still brand new in the box!  I haven't taken them out yet and am struggling with the decision to do so...lol  I recall either wanting this when I was little or actually buying something like this.  There are 2 cassettes included from what I can see and the books are: The Wizard of Oz, Dumbo, Mary Poppins, and The Lady and the Tramp~

This first book is just one of many Disney books recanting the, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" tale

Nabbed a few more books at a local Goodwill store- Goodwill is one of the BEST stores to find childhood books/Golden Books, that sort of thing.
